A superb vintage Wakmann chronograph, combining a beautifully preserved reverse panda dial with the dependable Valjoux 7733 manual-wind chronograph movement.
The dial is exceptional. A deep black ground is contrasted by two silver subsidiary registers, applied baton hour markers and a detailed outer tachymeter scale. The combination gives the watch a strong late-1960s/1970s motorsport chronograph appearance, while the Wakmann double-W signature remains beautifully crisp.
The stainless steel case measures approximately 37mm excluding the crown, with angular lugs and traditional round chronograph pushers. Condition throughout is remarkably clean, with the case, dial and handset all presenting extremely well.
Inside is the manually wound Valjoux 7733, one of the best-known Swiss chronograph movements of its period. The watch is running well and the chronograph is fully functional, starting, stopping and resetting correctly.
Fitted to a good-quality brown leather strap with an aftermarket buckle.
