A 1940s vintage swiss made Ernest Borel chronograph in phenomenal condition.
The movement is a Landeron 148, manual wind and has just had a full service and new mainspring fitted. The watch runs perfectly and the chronograph hands all stop, start and reset to 12 as they should.
The dial has minimal signs of ageing with a few patinated areas but has held up incredibly well. It bears the name Neuchatel under the brand name - the city where the watch was made. There are some deeper scatches to the side of the case but not visible on the wrist.
There is some tarnishing to the crown which I believe to be original as are the pushers judging by the wear.
No other reference photo online - incredibly rare. Clearly styled with the Universal Geneve Compax in mind.
Wears on a brand new brown waxed leather strap and aftermarket buckle.
Measures 35mm exc crown and pushers.
