• Omega Seamaster, ref C2577-9SC, 1952
• 34mm case excluding crown
• Cal. 354 bumper automatic
• Running within a minute a day
Early 1950s Seamaster with the proper look and feel. Steel case, domed acrylic crystal, applied gold markers and Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9. The dial is original and unrestored, with light, even ageing. Printing is crisp, furniture is sharp, and the overall tone is clean for a watch of this era. No refinishing here.
Case presents very well and hasn’t been over-polished. Edges are still defined and it sits nicely on the wrist.
Typical light surface marks from normal wear. The crystal is clean with only light surface marks.
Inside is Omega’s cal. 354 bumper automatic, one of the movements that put the Seamaster on the map in the early 1950s. These early automatics have a distinct feel on the wrist and are properly built. This example is healthy, showing good amplitude and beat error, and running within a minute a day in testing. Winds and sets smoothly.
