Rolex Oyster Royal 6246, 1957, with Box

£1,900.00

Rolex Oyster Royal reference 6246, dating to 1957.

Ivory-coloured dial with applied Arabic numerals and matching dot markers, signed Rolex Oyster Royal with Shock-Resisting above six. The dial is the standout here.

Exceptionally well preserved for the period, with even ageing and light surface texture consistent with age. No heavy marks and no obvious interference. Finding an

Oyster Royal of this era in this level of condition is increasingly rare, and this example has clearly been well looked after throughout its life.

Stainless steel Oyster case measuring approximately 32mm excluding the crown, correct for the reference and era. While modest on paper, it wears larger on the wrist thanks to the proportions and domed crystal. The case retains strong shape and defined lines and has not been over-polished. Surface marks only, commensurate with age.

Domed acrylic crystal in good condition. Signed Rolex crown.

Fitted to a period-correct Rolex bracelet, sized to approximately 21cm, which is increasingly difficult to find in this length and suits the watch well.

Manual-wind Rolex movement, currently keeping time within a few seconds a day, further reinforcing how carefully this watch has been maintained.

Included is a co-signed Rolex plastic presentation box from Germany, retailed by Carl Jos. Limartz, Köln. The box shows wear consistent with age but adds strong period context.

A very honest 1950s Oyster Royal, notable for its preserved ivory dial, strong case, and complete period presentation
