Rolex Datejust Black, 16014, 1978

£4,100.00

Rolex Datejust reference 16014 in stainless steel, dating to 1978 and fitted with its original 18ct white gold fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet.

The dial is a deep jet black with applied baton markers and matching hands, finished with the correct “superlative chronometer officially certified” text. The surface is extremely clean, with a rich, even tone throughout. The lume plots have aged naturally, now sitting as a soft, even patina that complements the dial rather than distracting from it.

The case remains incredibly sharp, with defined lugs and clean lines throughout. The 18ct white gold fluted bezel is particularly well preserved, retaining crisp edges and strong definition across each flute.

The Jubilee bracelet has been professionally repinned and is essential in NOS condition - tight, removing the stretch typically associated with these. Signed Rolex clasp opening and closing well. Total bracelet length is approximately 19cm.

The movement has just been serviced and is keeping perfect time on the timegrapher.
