Rolex Datejust 16030, w/ Box, Tags and Booklets, 1979

£4,100.00
sold out

A particularly attractive example of the Rolex Datejust 16030 from 1979, featuring a black dial with striking thick baton hour markers and matching baton hands, paired with the original engine-turned steel bezel. The beautifully aged original date wheel adds warmth and character, perfectly complementing the dial and giving the watch an unmistakably vintage feel.

The 36mm stainless steel case remains in excellent condition with strong lines and well-defined brushing. The engine-turned bezel is crisp throughout, while the black dial is exceptionally well preserved with gilt text, applied gold baton hour markers and matching tritium lume plots.

Fitted to its original Rolex Jubilee bracelet, the bracelet shows only light stretch for its age and remains tight and comfortable on the wrist. It will accommodate wrists up to approximately 19cm.

Adding significantly to its collectability, the watch is accompanied by its original Rolex coffin presentation box, original outer cardboard box, Rolex swing tag and original booklet. These vintage accessories have become increasingly scarce in their own right and add considerable value to the set.

The watch has been inspected by DM Vintage Watches and is presented in beautiful overall condition, making it an excellent opportunity to acquire an honest late-1970s Datejust.
