A beautifully preserved 1972 Omega Genève that captures exactly what this line was about — clean design, everyday wearability and proper Swiss engineering.
The silver sunburst dial is mint. Crisp printing, sharp applied baton indices and that simple “Genève” script sitting just above 6. No spotting, no distractions — just a very clean, honest dial that has clearly been well looked after for the last 50+ years. Date at 3 with correct framed window.
Inside is the Calibre 565 automatic movement, one of Omega’s strong 5xx-series workhorses. It’s keeping immaculate time on the timegrapher and running exactly as it should. These are reliable, well-built movements that make fantastic long-term wearers. The date complication works both on the quick set and turns over at midnight.
The stainless steel case measures 37.5mm including the crown and wears beautifully on the wrist — a great size for the era and still very relevant today. It shows only light surface marks consistent with age. Nothing heavy, no signs of abuse — just honest wear. Caseback correctly stamped 166.0163.
Fitted to a high-quality new grey Epsom leather strap which suits the dial perfectly and gives it a subtle modern edge while keeping things understated.
Complete with its original Omega box.
