An original early Seamaster with a beautifully aged original dial and strong overall condition throughout. The cream dial has taken on a soft, even patina that gives it warmth. It sits nicely under the applied baton markers, which remain clean and reflective, and the printed text is still crisp. Everything is correct and original.
The stainless steel case is in very good clean shape with sharp lugs and only light surface wear. It hasn’t been over polished and still holds its lines well. The caseback is the correct Seamaster hippocampus, still well defined with clear detail.
Inside is the Omega calibre 591 bumper automatic, one of the earlier automatic movements from the brand and full of character. The watch has just been serviced and is keeping perfect time. Serial dates it to 1960.
It comes fitted on a brand new textured brown leather strap, which suits the tone of the dial well, and is finished with an aftermarket buckle.
