Omega Honeycomb Dial 2745-1, Cal.410, 1955
An incredibly rare and highly attractive Omega manual wind wristwatch dating to 1955, housed in the seldom-seen reference 2745-1 stainless steel case. Its dramatic angular "spider lug" design gives the watch remarkable wrist presence, while the beautifully detailed two-tone honeycomb dial is one of the finest examples of Omega's mid-century craftsmanship.
The original dial has developed a warm, even patina over the decades, complementing the rose gold-tone applied batons and distinctive dauphine hands. The intricate honeycomb texture remains crisp throughout, creating wonderful depth that changes beautifully with the light. It is a completely untouched watch that has aged naturally, giving it an honest character that cannot be replicated.
Inside is the reliable Omega Calibre 410 manual wind movement, running well and keeping excellent time following a recent service. The watch measures 35mm excluding the original signed Omega crown, making it an excellent modern-wearing size while retaining classic 1950s proportions.
The stainless steel case remains clean with crisp lines and honest signs of wear commensurate with age. It is fitted to a quality brown leather strap with an aftermarket Omega buckle.
A genuinely scarce reference that rarely appears on the market, combining an exceptional case design with one of Omega's most desirable textured dials.
