Patek Philippe, 3491, 1964

£7,950.00

A beautifully elegant and highly collectible vintage Patek Philippe, reference 3491, dating to 1964 and presented in a classic rectangular Gondolo-style case. This example is particularly special, featuring a rare co-signed dial with Hausmann & Co., the historic Roman retailer, and an exceptional natural patina that gives the watch a distinctive “stardust” effect across the surface.

Dial

Original co-signed dial, signed Patek Philippe Genève and Hausmann & Co., with Roman numerals. The dial has developed a stunning, even patina throughout, creating a subtle speckled “stardust” texture that is incredibly attractive in the light. This is entirely natural and adds significant character, making it a truly unique piece. All text remains clear and well preserved.

Case

Original solid 18ct yellow gold rectangular case, reference 3491, measuring approximately 37mm lug to lug and 27mm across. Slim, refined profile true to the period. Light surface marks present, nothing that would not polish out if desired, though it remains very presentable as is with sharp overall lines.

Movement

Powered by the ultra-slim manual wind Patek Philippe Calibre 175. Running strongly, keeping excellent time with great amplitude on the timegrapher. A superbly engineered movement, as expected from Patek Philippe.

Strap & Buckle

Fitted to a high-quality burgundy leather strap that complements the warmth of the gold case beautifully. Accompanied by the original Patek Philippe 18ct gold buckle.

Box

Presented with its original Patek Philippe box. The exterior remains solid, with expected wear to the interior lining consistent with age.

Summary

An elegant and understated vintage Patek Philippe, reference 3491, elevated by its desirable Hausmann & Co. co-signature and exceptional natural patina. The ultra-slim profile, original gold buckle, and strong mechanical performance make this a highly desirable collector’s piece.

A beautiful historic piece, museum-worthy in both design and provenance.
