Omega Jumbo, 2503-3 Full Set, 1952
Exceptional vintage Omega Jumbo Reference 2503-3 in remarkably original condition, offered as a genuine full set with matching paperwork and presentation box. A rare survivor with documented provenance stretching back to the early 1950s.
The stainless steel Ref. 2503-3 case measures an impressive 36mm excluding the crown, making this a true Jumbo Omega for the period. The beautifully aged waffle-textured dial displays gentle, even patina throughout, complemented by elegant pink gold dauphine hands and matching applied hour markers. There are some darker age-related marks around the outer edges of the dial. In hand, the dial presents beautifully, with rich warmth and character that only decades of careful ageing can create.
Powered by a manual wind Omega movement running perfectly at the time of listing. The movement serial dates production to 1948, whilst the accompanying paperwork shows the watch being retailed in 1952. Crucially, the serial number recorded on the papers matches the movement, confirming this as a genuine matching-numbers example with documented provenance.
Adding further interest, the guarantee papers are unusually co-signed by both Omega and Tissot, an uncommon and highly collectible detail rarely encountered today. Accompanying the watch is the famed pig skin omega presentation box, this one is showing signs of wear with parts in poor condition and missing the popper at the top.
