Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date reference 1803, crafted in 18ct white gold, with a visible serial dating production to 1964.
The silver sunburst dial is in remarkable condition, with crisp printing, clean baton markers and a sharp day and date aperture. This no lume dial variant is far less commonly seen than champagne examples and works particularly well with the white gold case. Overall presentation is excellent and clearly the result of careful ownership.
The case remains very sharp, retaining strong edges and definition throughout. It has not been over-polished, showing only light surface marks consistent with age. The fluted white gold bezel is crisp, and the case proportions remain exactly as they should wearing at 36mm. Serial and reference numbers are clearly visible.
The watch is fitted with its original Rolex automatic movement, recently serviced and running well. Supplied on a brand new strap with an aftermarket Rolex-style buckle.
White gold Day-Dates are always harder to find than yellow gold examples, and pieces from this era in this level of condition are genuinely scarce. A strong, honest ref. 1803 that stands out on condition and originality alone.
